Summit and I went to our very first snow event the other week in Salmo, BC. It was just a fun run, so I was able to borrow a friend's kicksled (which aren't usually allowed in events).
The first day was rough. The sled wasn't set up properly and always veered to the right. It was exhausting trying to keep it going in a straight line. On the second day, Al fixed it (by simply tying a knot in one of the lines) and it was MUCH better. So much better in fact, I shaved 6 minutes off my time.
It was fun but I definitely prefer the dryland!
As an added bonus I got to hang out in Nelson with Deb and family. We hadn't seen each other since before Christmas so it was nice to spend some time with everyone. I even got a few quick visits in with Dad and Shelley on my drives back and forth.
